1. General

Lapin Taivas Arctic Expeditions ("we", "us") offers guided tours and related services in Lapland. By booking, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. All bookings are subject to these terms unless otherwise agreed in writing. Please read them carefully before completing your booking.

2. Payment

• All tour bookings require a one-time payment at checkout.
• Payments are processed securely by Paytrail Plc (Finland).

3. Delivery / Confirmation

• Once payment is successful, you will receive a booking confirmation email containing your booking reference, tour details, and practical information.
• If applicable, digital tickets or vouchers will be sent by email.
• Please ensure your email address is correct. If you do not receive confirmation, check your spam folder or contact us.

4. Cancellation, Withdrawal, and Refunds

4.1. Exclusion of 14-Day Right of Withdrawal

Under EU and Finnish consumer legislation, the general 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts does not apply to services (e.g., tours) scheduled for a specific date or duration.

4.2. Customer Cancellation Policy

Special Bookings: Private tours or group bookings may have different cancellation policies, as specified at checkout or in the confirmation email.

4.3. Refund Method

• Refunds will be processed via Paytrail using the original payment method. We do not process refunds via bank transfer to a different account.
• Any non-refundable transaction fees charged by Paytrail or banks may be deducted from the refund amount.
• Refund processing times typically depend on the customer's bank or payment service provider.

4.4. Changes Made by the Operator

• Cancellation due to Our Fault: If we cancel your tour due to our own fault, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
• Force Majeure: Cancellations due to force majeure (e.g., extreme weather conditions, government orders, security reasons) will result in a rearrangement or refund; Lapin Taivas is not responsible for any other consequential losses.
• Northern Lights: Refunds are not provided if the Northern Lights are not visible, as this is a natural phenomenon beyond our control. Weather and aurora visibility do not guarantee refunds.

5. Changes Made by the Operator

• If we cancel your tour due to our own fault, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
• Cancellations due to force majeure (e.g., extreme weather conditions, government orders, security reasons) will result in a rearrangement or refund; Lapin Taivas is not responsible for any other consequential losses.

Include your booking reference and a brief description of the issue.

We will confirm receipt within 3 business days and aim to resolve the complaint as quickly as possible.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the relevant Finnish consumer protection authority.

7. Data Protection / Privacy

Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Data sharing:

• Shared only with business partners/suppliers for the delivery of the purchased tour.
• Shared with authorities if legally required.
• Not sold for marketing purposes.

Applicable Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Finnish law. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Finnish courts.
