Lapin Taivas can travel up to 300+ KM (If Necessary) in a double seated Mercedes Pegabus Van. Either chasing a clear sky or driving into back country’s best spots, this tour is for real Aurora Hunters!
Our Aurora guides and photographers use the best weather reports, cameras, and lenses to capture stunning shots. These professional photos will be delivered to your email in 8 to 72 hours after your experience.
Unlike others, there is no designated route for this safari and we only drive wherever the clear sky will be. By driving at least 100km to back country even at perfect clear skies, we never end up in light polluted areas for best viewing experience.
Our catch rate was 93% during 2024-25 Winter season.

Departure Time: Between 19:00–21:00, depending on the season and aurora forecast.
Group Size: 1–8 people (private options available).
Aurora Visibility: The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, and visibility can never be guaranteed. However, we constantly monitor NASA and Finnish Meteorological Institute data to maximize your chances.
Clothing: Please wear warm, layered winter clothing suitable for Arctic conditions.
Cancellations made 24 hours or more before the tour start time will be refunded in full.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the tour start time are non-refundable.
If the Service Provider cancels a tour due to unsafe weather, force majeure, or other valid reasons, the Customer will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
Refunds are processed without undue delay and usually within 5–14 business days, depending on the Customer’s bank or payment provider.

Please be aware that Northern Lights tours can extend beyond the planned duration as we search for the best sightings, often under very cold weather conditions.
For safety and operational reasons, mid-tour returns are not possible, and refunds cannot be provided if you choose to leave early.
We kindly recommend that families with babies, young children, and elderly guests carefully consider these conditions before joining.
